Braces/Suspenders
Braces (or suspenders) are elastic fabric straps that run over the shoulders to hold up trousers. The entire strap of suspenders may be elasticated, or only at attachment ends, with the most of the straps being of woven cloth or silk. Suspenders typically attach to trousers with clips or buttons (although the use of buttons is now less popular).
Whilst the use of suspenders/braces is becoming less common, many business people still wear them, for either comfort or image. Indeed within the US, men’s suspenders are regarded as highly fashionable by fashion experts.
